After a genealogical analysis, explaining the conditions under which juvenile justice emerged in France and situating recent changes, we equally need to understand sociologically the conditions under which juvenile justice operates today and remember the reasons why it has reinvolved itself in order to grasp lines of authority/power around which this juvenile justice is trying to adapt by inserting itself into a local arena in a new way.
