The purpose of our work is to propose a spatial approach to well-being in secondary schools, based on a survey on victimisation and the social climate. The focus on changing rooms (locker rooms) in physical education (PE) classes allows for an analysis of a space that often escapes the attention of adults. 1,049 students from 13 secondary schools were interviewed. The results show that these rooms are a major location for incidents of violence, from the students’ point of view. Victimisation is particularly high for teasing, voyeurism, group fights or even secreting others’ personal belongings.
