This paper is based on the observation of interactions between students and school personnel (guidance counselor, teacher(s), or the principal). The students were asked to explain their attitudes toward misbehavior. The authors propose to approach the processes of co-construction of deviance in the school setting by analyzing the thought processes that result in some actions or students being labeled as deviant.
